PhD · Public Health & EpidemiologyOpen to research & data roles
A PhD-trained researcher with over a decade of expertise in epidemiology, statistics, health economics, and quantitative social science, including over two years of postdoctoral fellowship at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the University of Calgary. My work has taken me from Australia to Hong Kong to Canada, and as a consultant to the World Bank.
My work spans study design, statistical modelling, manuscript drafting, peer-review revision, and translating quantitative findings for diverse stakeholders, resulting in twelve peer-reviewed publications in journals such as PLOS Medicine, Cancers, BMC Geriatrics, and JMIR Public Health and Surveillance.
Alongside my research, I also have hands-on experience with independent agentic AI projects by leveraging rapid prototyping, automated testing, and software design to improve the efficiency, reproducibility, reliability, and scalability of my workflows.
Biostatistics
Meta-analysis, systematic reviews, multi-level modelling, causal inference methods, and more.
Cancer Epidemiology
Survival analysis and subsequent neoplasm risk in childhood cancer survivors; breast cancer screening and health literacy.
Ageing & Multimorbidity
Geriatric mental health, cognitive impairment, long COVID, and chronic disease management in primary care populations.
Health-Economic Modelling & Policy
Cost-effectiveness and simulation models evaluating taxes on sugar-sweetened beverages, alcohol, and salt, informing policy in Egypt, Nigeria, Indonesia, Mongolia, Australia, and India.

My research repositories cover work at UQ, HKU, CUHK and UCalgary, including childhood cancer epidemiology, community eHealth and multimorbidity, school mental health, suicide epidemiology and poverty, energy balance, future BMI distribution and the health burden of obesity. Consulting projects for The World Bank and Griffith University covered disease burden modelling for health tax policy across eight countries and 48 Sub-Saharan African countries.
Beyond research, I design and develop my own software with agentic AI coding tools, including agent skills, dashboards, browser extensions, and this site. The rigour I bring to study design carries over: version control, automated testing, and reproducible workflows.
